HPG Chamber Hosts Experiential Annual Meeting at Richard Bland College Academic Innovation Center

Hopewell/Prince George Chamber of Commerce
Hosts Experiential Annual Meeting at RBC’s Academic Innovation Center

Hopewell, Va. (Oct. 3, 2025) – Attendees at the Annual Meeting and Mixer for the Hopewell/Prince George Chamber of Commerce’s (H/PG Chamber) Annual Meeting and Mixer on Oct. 15 from 4:30-7:30pm will enjoy an interactive, futuristic experience in addition to great networking and delicious food. The event will be held at Richard Bland College (RBC) in the new Academic Innovation Center, located at 11301 Johnson Road in Prince George, Va.

“This year, our guests will meet RBC’s amazing humanoid robot, wear virtual reality glasses, cheer on e-sports teams, play some Black Jack and more,” said Becky McDonough, CEO of the H/PG Chamber. “It will be a fun, active and engaging evening unlike recent Chamber meetings.”
RBC is home to what has been called the world’s most advanced robot powered by cutting-edge AI. For an educational institution located in a predominately rural area, having a next-generation robot like this is extraordinary.

“Come to our Annual Meeting and step into the future, as well as learn about all the work of the chamber over the past year for tourism, business, military and community,” Kerrick Loyd, 2025 Board President added.

The Annual Meeting and Mixer is $65 for H/PG Chamber members; $85 for non-members. Contact Jennifer Johnson, jennifer@hpgchamber.org for information about sponsorships. To learn more and register for the event, click here.

The H/PG Chamber was recently named a 2025 Top Virginia Employer for Interns by the Virginia Talent + Opportunity Partnership (V-TOP). Out of 215 statewide honorees, the H/PG Chamber is the only chamber of commerce in Region 4 – and one of only two chambers in Virginia – that was recognized for this prestigious award.
